The two month span of August - September represents birthday season in my family. Aside from a few in December and the handful spread out among the rest of the year - August and September are huge birthday months for us. It essentially feels like every week we're wishing someone a happy birthday, sometimes two in one week!
Though we aren't able to celebrate all together on the exact birthday holiday, we typically make it up on following weekends. Next year, I will make it my mission to be home for at least one birthday. Not only will I be home, but I will bake them a cake from scratch. It has been so long since I've baked, co-op, PRSSA, Homecoming, SGA... - you get the picture - are pretty much consuming my life. I leave my apartment at 8am, and typically return home between 8/9pm. Long day, if you ask me.
I'm ready for a break! Is it March yet? I'm thinking that will be my next spontaneous trip to Brazil ;)
Okay okay, I'm so off topic - back to my going home/baking a cake plans for the next birthday season. This is what prompted today's fancy - what is a cake without cake bunting? Well, I suppose it would just be a cake, but not a totally adorable cake like this one.
