Greetings from Georgia

September 15, 2014

Let me start out by saying that Savannah, Georgia was just as beautiful as I hoped it would be.  I couldn't have imagined a better way to spend my birthday than exploring a new city with my main squeeze, T.

We started out the trip with a bright and early drive to Savannah.  While our hotel was located on the other side of the river, it offered free ferry rides (less than 5 minutes each way!) to the river district.  We had the perfect view and just couldn't believe how adorable the little city was!

On our last day there we even drove over to Tybee Island and climbed the 178 stairs to the top.  Even though I'm slightly terrified by heights, the view was totally worth it.

I luckily still have another week in the south, which means tons of photographs by the end of the trip.  For now, I hope you enjoy a few of our 'grams from our little weekend away.

How did you spend yours?

If you live in the Northeast, but haven't been to Provincetown yet, you're doing it all wrong.  Good old Ptown has to be one of my favorite spots for the summer.  The streets are brimming with boutiques, delicious little restaurants, bars, and the best people ever.

Everyone there looks happy....because you're in Ptown, baby.

Though for some reason we had pretty rough seas, the day was otherwise perfect.  My friend, C., and I ate fantastic food at Patio, ventured around, and shopped at the finest of Ptown boutiques.

Bonobos + All-Season 8

August 22, 2014

I'm a lady, but I sure do love men's fashion (more than women's I must say).  So, you can only imagine my excitement when I heard from my friends at Bonobos that they were hosting a pretty snazzy giveaway.  Meet, the All-Season 8 giveaway, otherwise known as your chance to win eight awesome pieces for your wardrobe that can be worn all year round.

To join in on the Bonobos fun, I thought I would style my favorite of the All-Season 8 giveaway products: the chinos.  Now, I know my s/o might yell (scold) me for the use of all of these different browns - I just couldn't resist.  I'm such a "fall" person that the back to school look gets me every time.

Now, get to entering for the chance to win up to $1400 in prizes.

Yeah, I know right?  Crazytown.  It's like Bonobos is just giving away everything over there.

Atlanta, GA

August 7, 2014

Friends!  Alas, I have not yet disappeared.  In fact, I've been hard at work (attempting) to design a brand new blog for you all (eek!).

I'm so excited about it, but I'm a long ways away from finishing it up....in fact, I'm just starting out - cue embarrassment now.

However, in the mean time I was also busy helping T. relocate for work to Atlanta, GA!  We had an absolute blast on our road trip down from Boston.  Sure, it was a bit of a drive, but we had such a great time exploring the east coast.

We also thoroughly enjoyed exploring Atlanta.  We checked out spots like Holeman & Finch, Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q, FLIP Burger, Victory, and more.

While it was tough coming back to Boston without T., I already have my next trip booked!  Surprise!  I'll be heading back to Georgia in September, with much free time due to T.'s work schedule.

So, Atlanta peeps, where should I kill some time?  Cute coffee shops, boutiques, etc., please send them my way!

one / Nothing sounds more up my alley than a ginger rosemary zinger.  As soon as I move into my new space next week and get the bar packed, I will surely be testing out this recipe.

two / Jamie shared this delectable round-up of treats and I'm thinking ingredients for these are all making their way onto my grocery list next week.

three / Trina is starting an exciting new series over on Of Trees & Hues titled Photography 101.  For those of you just getting into the game, it might be a great place to start!  This week is all about exposure.

four / This stroll through Georgetown is making me want to pack up and head down to DC.  I'm hoping I'll end up there in the next few years, so perhaps another trip will have to hold me over for now.

five / Really loving this review of the Ace Hotel in Seattle - yet another city I'd love to explore.

six / I've been on a real vanilla chai latte kick.  Head over to Danielle's journal to check out a simple recipe.  I'm warning you, it's addictive.

What finds did you make this week?
