I thought it was high time to start a new series on here, so here goes nothing!

This is more of a two part series.  First, I'll be featuring an image with the color palette highlighted. Second, I'll be translating that palette into a selection of clothes, accessories, decor, home goods, or a mishmash of items.

Weekend Tidbits

THE WEEKEND

01 / Enjoyed a long overdue visit from K.

02 / Walked approximately 8.5 miles - does walking sunbathing work? Well....burning in my case.

03 / Ate lunch on the water with K. (with a side of champagne, of course).

04 / Saw The Great Gatsby! I loved it. What did you all think about the film?

For the most part, the weather was beautiful here in Boston.  It was so great having the chance to see the city on foot again - I sure did miss walking around.

How did you spend your weekend?

Goodie Bag

Oh, don't mind me, I'll just be sitting here wishing I was in Brazil....or on the cape.  I love winter, I love the cold, I love snow - but there's just something so magical about sitting on the beach with my favorite sunnies and cracking open a new book.

While I walk around Boston this afternoon with K., I'll most definitely be imagining a beach day instead.

Sweets

I finally baked again!  Well, I might be telling you a little white lie, because I didn't actually bake these. I mean, I did put them in the oven, decorate them, and deliver them to my birthday friend.  HOWEVER, I was lazy today.  Granted, I woke up at 7 AM to run to the grocery store, I cheated and used a cake mix.  Luckily for me, they turned out just as delicious as a homemade cake!

Though there's no secret recipe, I just couldn't resist snapping a few photos to share with you all.  Come on, who doesn't love colored sprinkles?
